Summer Pennant Banner
Well, this last week turned out different than any of us expected…
My Grandpa took a sudden turn for the worse and was hospitalized and put into Palliative Care. We spent a lot of time with him and all the family came home. He peacefully passed away on May 31st. We miss him a lot but are so thankful that his suffering is over…
Today I’ll share a short post of the Summer Pennant Banner which I made a month ago.
I was reading on The House of Smiths and stumbled across this post on making a super simple Pennant Banner from paper. I immediately fell in love with the idea and decided to give it a whirl.
I cut my pennants bigger and spaced them closer together. It was so simple to just sew them together.
Birthdays and Signs
Happy rainy days to you!
I have a couple of products to show you today…I am slowly getting some stuff done besides office work and it feels so good!
Silhouette Cameo Tips & Tricks
Boy oh boy…I can’t believe it’s been so long since I’ve done my last post! If you are actually still dropping by to check out my site, then I thank you from the bottom of my heart!
I’ve finally finished a few projects I’ve had on the go and I will be sharing them with you next week.
Today I’m going to share a couple of tips and tricks which I’ve learned (some of them the hard way) from using my Silhouette SD and now my wonderful Silhouette Cameo.
I was cutting vinyl trees the other evening and ran into some major difficulties. I wasted WAY TOO MUCH vinyl and was basically tearing my hair out by that time. The trees were supposed to reach from the floor to the ceiling so one length was approximately 95″ long. My trusty Cameo would cut all the way down one side and as it would come back up the other side the vinyl would slide sideways and you know the rest…it cut the tree all crooked…which meant that my vinyl was mostly wrecked…ugggh… [read more]
April’s Winter Storm
We have been experiencing a winter storm today with blowing snow/rain…which is causing the highways to be slippery. I’m so glad that I have an inside job when the weather is like this.
My postings have been so sporadic I thought that I should really do one more post yet in April. I don’t have any finished projects to show you right now, but I thought I’d share some pictures which I’ve pinned to try and help make some final decisions for a custom vinyl wall art order.
The order is for my sis-in-law’s nursery and it’s supposed to be trees with a few leaves and a couple of birds.
The trees will be white and the color of the birds is a secret right now…actually I can’t remember off the top of my head what color they chose for the birds.

Handmade Journals
I made some journals awhile back and now I’m finally getting around to share them with you.
I always distress the pages and I really like the effect. It helps the journal to look thicker and you’re not constantly struggling with separating the pages one from the next.
This time around I was on a tight schedule and had a real hard time with inspiration coming in. This is partly the reason I’ve delayed posting them…arrggg…just because I wish I had been more inspired…and I’m not at all entirely happy with the way they turned out.
Anyways…they’re done and this is how they turned out…
Enjoy! [read more]
Keepin’ It Real!
Happy Wednesday to my lovely readers!
Thank you so much for sticking with me even when the posting gets scarce. I just want to touch base and let you know I’m still around.
Life is really busy right now…I’m getting anxious for tax season to be over and then I can get back to a more relaxed schedule which will include making crafts…I have some new ideas for signs and misc furniture….the wheels are turning.
Today is about keepin’ it real. I know this doesn’t really show the mess, but thought I’d show you a little of the chaos which ensues every time I get creative and start making something…

Looking Back on January and February
Yesterday was the first day of Spring and the day before we just got another dump of snow…It still feels very much like Winter around here. We have a lot of snow to melt before we can even start thinking about gardening.
I’m a little slow in my posting right now, and since I’ve gotten a little behind my schedule, I thought I would do a recap on the last two months instead of doing them individually.
I’ll share some of my favorite posts/products from Jan/Feb.
Out of the Custom Orders I did over Christmas these are at the top of my like list. [read more]
FeedBlitz Replaces my FeedBurner
***IMPORTANT UPDATE***
Once again I apologize for the inconvenience.
I’ve been having some issues with my FeedBurner account for sometime and I made the switch to FeedBlitz. I did a little research on what to use instead and read some really good reports on FeedBlitz.
I was a little frazzled when I did this and just went ahead and COMPLETELY DELETED my FeedBurner account.
It’s a little shocking, isn’t it? I still can’t quite believe it, but it’s true! [read more]
Wedding Subway Art
I apologize for my site being down for a few days.
Awhile ago, I said that I thought I’d leave my site alone and not make any major changes to it…
!!SO RIGHT WRONG!!
I hope that you’ll be patient and bear with me. I am working on slowly putting products on my site to sell instead of just having them on Etsy. This will take some time and for now there will just be small minor changes as I have time… [read more]
