FAT Paint Company (TFPC) makes artisan chalk-style paint, NOT chalk paint. FAT Paint is a latex-based paint “FAT’n’d” up with a little bit of chalky minerals. Hence the clever name.
Netties Expressions holds Sign Painting Workshops throughout the year. Groups of 4 allows for a more intimate and relaxing setting. It also allows me to give each of you more one-on-one time with your sign.
I'm excited to give you a preview of my rustic wood frames. These frames are made from pine. I cut, sanded, assembled, painted and completed these frames myself. So yes, these frames are made from scratch by yours truly.
I'm just waiting for my shipment of glass to come in before I can finish these frames and list them online. In the meantime I'm figuring out my pricing as well.
As you can see in the picture below all the frames are for a 8" x 10" art print except the one. The measurement of the actual 8" x 10" frame is just under 11.5" x 13.5".
I'm debating what to do about hanging hardware. I will either do saw tooth hangers or I'll notch out a groove on the back. I'm leaning towards notching out a groove, but I'll have to see how it works.
There's a Ash colored frame in the back which is for a 9" x 12" art print.
I put some of my art prints in the frames just to see what they would look like. All my art prints come packaged with a stiff backing board and then in a crystal clear bag. You'll most likely notice in the next few pictures that some of the prints look shiny and the bags look slightly puckered. This is why. Once the glass is here I can give a proper sample of what the frame(s) will look like in a completed state.
These frames are quite basic. The moulding (created by myself) is 2" wide. This gives a nice thick frame. Most importantly these frames are rustic. They are not perfect by any means. I'm quite happy with how they turned out and am very excited to be able to sell frames locally and online.
Have a lovely weekend!

Today I'm going to share a very simple DIY project. You can copy this if you like or use this to get your own ideas going. It's always amazing to me what a little paint and some flowers can do.
